Made by John's Family

First seen in the 1880's as Double Wrench, Wanderer's Path in the Wilderness, Robbing Peter to Pay Paul, or Solomon's Puzzle, this pattern was co-opted by The Women's Christian Temperance Union (WCTU) very close to that time, and the moniker stuck. It obviously does look like a staggered path, so that makes sense! This was the first pattern to be used to raffle for fundraising, and it was most oftenly associated with the WCTU in blue and white color schemes, just as this one here is.
This wall hanging is a contrast of a navy solid and a light blue leafy tendril print on a navy background. The white quilting in the navy border becomes pronounced, and the wave-shaped quilting just works perfectly with the drunkard's path. The center "keystones" have a really unique looped quilting which echo the rambling of the Drunkard's Path, featured below:

Approximate Size: 41 1/2" x 41 1/2"
Back is solid light blue back with four loops for hanging, each measuring approximately 1 3/4" x 1 1/4":
