Some people call this delicious concoction "Funeral Pie," because the Pennsylvania Dutch commonly used to serve this at funerals. No one really knows why, except perhaps that it doesn't require refrigeration and could travel well.

That's a pity, because this totally awesome pie shouldn't have a dreary connection to it!

Scrumptious plump raisins are packed into a delicious tender pie crust and are topped with sweet crumbs. What a shame that these old-fashioned recipies are so hard to find nowadays. But, through the magic of The Internet, you can taste the earthy goodness of Raisin Pie!

Dimensions: 9" pie.

Ingredients: Raisins, sugar, water, clear jell. Crust: flour, vegetable shortening, water, baking powder, salt.

Attention for those with allergies: The equipment in Naomi's kitchen processes and packages products containing peanuts, tree nuts, soybeans, milk, egg, and wheat ingredients.
