Description: There is no piecing on this quilt- it is meant to appear as one continuous piece of fabric (although, due to fabric bolt limitations, it will be in more than one piece out of necessity!) Heirloom quilts are typically white, and are valued for their design, quality of quilting, and white-on-white coloring.
This heirloom quilt features a three grape clusters in the center along with their leaves and vine tendrils. The center circle is completed with a circle of feathering, and then ten more grape clusters and leaves are fitted around the outside of the circle, pointing outwards toward each border. Outside of the ten clusters, there's a circular quilting we've never seen before, almost like a succession of clouds. It's stunning! Then there's cross-hatching, followed by a braid to mark the top of the bed, then more cross-hatching....there's so much about this quilt to love!
The dimensions of this quilt technically put it in a full or double size, but it was photographed on a queen-size mattress. You will need a dust ruffle at the end of the bed, because it may be a little short for a queen-- but it's perfectly workable.
This is an heirloom quilt, in every sense of the word. What better gift can you find for a bride...or for chastity promise present...or for yourself?
