Description: This pattern is most closely identified with the Old Order Amish settlement in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Some believe that it is an outgrowth of the original Center Diamond pattern, which makes perfect sense. But what patchwork! All those little squares are first sewn together before the batting and back area attached and then the piece is quilted. The piecing is just lovely on this quilt.
The fabrics are also very harmonious from the with the various green prints and solids used. Terrific piecing; standard to very good quilting.
