Methods of Payment

We accept payment by the following methods:

MasterCard
Money Order (United States Postal Service Money Orders only, please)
Cashier's Check
Personal Checks are subject to a 10-business day period for clearing purposes before we are able to ship the merchandise. Checks over $1,000.00 are submit to management review and will take a longer period of time to clear before we are able to ship.

We do not accept any American Express, Discover, and/or any PayPal transactions.

Minimum Orders

Please note that we have a minimum $10.00 purchase requirement for credit card orders and a minimum $5.00 purchase requirement on the website.

Sales Tax

All items shipped to Pennsylvania addresses will be charged a 6% sales tax, if the item is considered taxable under Pennsylvania law. Shipping and handling on those items will also be subject to the 6% Sales Tax Code. Generally speaking, most food and apparel items are not taxable. Although it is very unlikely, shipping within the United States (outside of Pennsylvania) may be subject to other states' sales tax.

Shipping

At Almost Amish, we make every effort to ensure your satisfaction. Unless otherwise noted, most items ship within a few days. However, because our items are handcrafted, it is possible that an item may take longer. We will first email you to acknowledge your order, and will email you a second time with either an estimated or actual shipping date.

Please see our Quilts section for information on quilt special order timeframes.

FedEx Home Delivery is our preferred shipper because of lower cost to you and faster delivery times than most competitors, although we will ship most items via UPS and United States Postal Service. The heaviest furniture items are shipped by a freight service to be determined by our estimation of shipper reliability and lowest overall cost to you. We generally ship ground but can provide other, faster means for you. Please email us or call.

Combining Items for Lowest Shipping Costs

Normally, we hold all orders until all items are available to ship at once to ensure you the lowest possible shipping costs.
The following items ship separately regardless and will incur their own shipping expense:

· Furniture
· Birdhouses & Birdfeeders
· Mailboxes
· Wagons

If you receive an email from us indicating that one of your ordered items is on back-order, you will have the option to pay for separate shipping costs.

International Shipping

We will make every attempt to ship your package outside of the United States, but certain foreign restrictions on imports may prevent us from doing so. In addition, you will be charged any applicable duties and taxes. Please email or phone us prior to placing your order online.

Returns Policy

Should you need to exchange or return an item, please email or phone us within 14 days of your receipt of the item. Please contact us first before returning it to us. We ask that you return the item in its original condition. After we receive the returned merchandise and confirm its condition, we will reverse the charge to your credit card account or, if the purchase was made by check or money order, we will issue you a refund check. Refunds will be for the amount of the merchandise only. Unless you received the item in damaged or defective condition, shipping costs are not refundable.

In the unlikely event that you received an item in damaged or defective condition: please notify us within seven days for regular items and two days for large items shipped by freight companies so that we may notify the shipper. Please keep all the packaging and the product, as the shipper may want to examine the nature of the damage.

If we are not notified within this timeframe or the packaging is not kept, you may not be entitled to a refund.

We stand behind all our products and will be happy to work with you to resolve any problems to your satisfaction.
